There’s something about a travelling cable that truly captivates me. I love designing and knitting cables, but I also love experimenting with them. This isn’t your typical cable hat—the chunky cable gracefully slants to the right as you knit.
This design was inspired by the cold Saskatchewan winters. I often find myself knitting by our wood fireplace, surrounded by warmth and comfort. When my daughter requested another hat, my mind immediately pictured keeping her ears cozy on those frosty days.
This hat features a cozy folded brim, but if you prefer, the pattern also includes instructions for a regular brim—you get to choose!
This pattern comes with instructions for both a Beanie hat and a slouch hat. Once again, you get to choose.
Plus, this pattern comes in 10 sizes to knit. There is as 4” (10 cm) built in positive easement for stretch. The following are finished circumference for each size:
NB: 12” / 30.5 cm
3 MTHS: 14” / 35.5 cm
6 MTHS: 15” / 38 cm
12 MTHS:16” / 40.5 cm
TODDLER: 16.5” / 42 cm
3 – 5 YRS: 17” / 43 cm

This hat was designed with Knit Picks Swish worsted weight yarn. However, any similar yarn will work. .
