A totally fun knit!
I wanted to take the garter stitch and play around with it. Instead of knitting a straight garter stitch blanket, I designed a blanket with varying sections. I also love the result!
As usual, this blanket comes in many sizes. There are six different sizes to chose from starting with a baby security blanket to an Afghan.
This pattern is fully written and fully charted. You get to chose which technique you follow.

Security:16” (40.5 cm) x 22” (56 cm)
Stroller:28” (71 cm) x 36” (91.5 cm)
Lap:36” (91.5 cm) x 48” (122 cm)
Receiving:40” (101.5 cm) x 40” (101.5 cm)
Toddler:43” (109 cm) x 52” (132 cm)
Afghan:48” (122 cm) x 60” (152.5 cm)
This pattern was designed with Knit Picks Swish yarn. The amounts are as follows: (yards/meters)
Security:300 / 270
Stroller:840 / 755
Lap:1400 / 1260
Receiving:1300 / 1170
Toddler:1800 / 1620
Afghan:2350 / 2115
Gauge: 18 stitches x 26 rows = 4″ (10 cm) x 4″(10 cm) in stockinette stitch
Needles: 5 mm (8 US) or size needed to get gauge
