Mystery Knit Afghan 2025

written by KnotEnufKnitting December 9, 2024

“Knitting..  A perfect way to unwind your mind.”

Welcome to the Mystery Knit Afghan 2025! This is our 9th Mystery Knit Afghan. The theme for the Afghan this year is … cables, cables, cables. I love designing cables into my Afghans!

Mystery Knit Afghan 2025: $12.00 USD

Mystery Knit Afghan / Pillow Set 2025: $16.00 USD

This year, the Mystery Knit will be broken down into 7 different clues. Each clue will be full of cables and seamless!  Thus, there will be no seaming at the end of this mystery knit.  Plus, this year, there will be NO picking up stitches.  Hence, it is a straight knit from the cast on to the bind off.

A few examples of the Mystery Knit Afghans we have already knit!  They are unique and stunning!

Why a Mystery Knit Afghan?

Have you tried knitting an Afghan, only to get tired of the same stitch pattern over and over? I have! Honestly, I must admit that I LOVE knitting these Afghan patterns since there is change in each section that keeps the pattern challenging and interesting. Seriously, these Afghans fly off my needles because I have a hard time putting them down, AND the best part, these Afghans are SEAMLESS! Absolutely NO seaming is required. However, when you join the Mystery Knit Afghan, you will have a year to complete your Afghan. Ultimately, this Afghan will be ready to be gifted for Christmas, or for you to snuggle under during the cold months.

How does the Mystery Knit work?

This Mystery Knit Afghan is broken down into 7 different clues. However, these clues are spread out throughout 2025. Thus, upon purchase, you will receive an information file on what you need to get ready for the Mystery Knit. On each specified day, you will receive the next clue. If pattern is purchased on this website, you will receive an email with a link to download the next clue. When you purchase on Ravelry, you will receive the clue as an update in your Ravelry library. Otherwise, if you purchase on Etsy, I will email you each new clue.

Finally, there is ONLY a one time purchase for the Mystery Knit. The one time purchase includes all 7 clues. It does not, however, include the Mystery Knit Pillow unless you purchase the Mystery Knit Afghan plus Pillow set.

When are the clues launched?

    • Clue 1:  January 10th

    • Clue 2: February 21st

    • Clue 3: March 28th

    • Clue 4: May 2nd

    • Clue 5: June 13th

    • Clue 6:  August 1st

    • Clue 7: September 12th

    • Mystery Knit Pillow: October 17th (Only included in the Afghan/Pillow Set)

Where is the MKAL hosted?

Welcome to join one or both of the two groups where you can meet other knitters from around the world who are also knitting this Afghan. Share your progress and see the inspiration of so many different knitters! It is a great knitting community.
