The Journey of Cables Scarf knitting pattern is an amazing journey of cables! These cables run seamless from the cast on to the bind off. With many cable patterns knit together, this makes for a very unique and stunning scarf!

The Journey of Cables Scarf was the Mystery Knit Scarf 2024. It is now together in one pattern.

Do you want to try knitting a scarf that is 8 sections, full of continuous cables?  Fortunately, this scarf knitting pattern does not have 8 different square sections.  Each section works off the previous one and cables flow seamlessly through the scarf.  However, the joy of the Mystery Knit if to figure out where the cable goes next.  Further, this will is similar to the Crisp cable scarf, but the cables will be different!

This scarf has 8 different sections. Each section knits off the first and is 8″ (20.5 cm).  Thus, at the end, you will have a 64” (162.5 cm) long scarf, AND the scarf will be a seamless knit!

This scarf is designed with Knit Picks Swish worsted weight yarn. However, any worsted or aran weight yarn will work.

Each section will use approximately 80 yards for a total of 640 yards. I recommend using one colour for this scarf.

Gauge:  18 stitches x 26 rows = 4″ x 4″ (10 cm x 10 cm) in stockinette stitch.

Needles:  5 mm (8 US) or size needed to get gauge.
