Song of Sisters Knitted Slouch Hat Pattern
Do you knit often for someone else? I have 5 sisters and I do love to knit hats for them! 🙂 It seems that we all knit for someone else. Mother, children, friends, etc. This knitting pattern is named after our dear ones we knit for. Song of Sisters’ slouch hat will be loved by all!
This hat is completely seamless. It is knit from the bottom up, in the round. This hat can be knit by any advanced beginner. The cable is more advanced, but there is a chart and written instructions for it.
This hat comes in 6 sizes:
2 yrs – 16” x 8 ½” – 40.5 cm x 21.5 cm
3 – 5 yrs – 17” x 9” – 43 cm x 23 cm
6 – 12 yrs – 18” x 10” – 45.5cm x 25.5 cm
Adult (S) – 19” x 10¼ ” – 48.5 cm x 26 cm
Adult (M) – 20” x 10 ¾” – 51 m x 27.5 cm
Adult (L) – 21” x 11” – 53.5 cm x 28 cm
This pattern has 3″ of negative easement built in.
This hat was designed with Vanna’s Choice Solids worsted weight yarn. However, any worsted weight yarn of your choice will work.
Amount of yardage: 100 (120, 150, 160, 170, 180) yards
Needles: 5 mm [8 US] circular needles and 4 x 5 mm [8 US] dpns
Gauge: 18 stitches x 24 rows = 4″ x 4″ in stockinette stitch

Cable needle
Tapestry needle
Ruler
