This unique Gently Cabled Blanket knitting pattern has a unique story behind it. I had started to design a shawl and it started with this cable strip. I had continued knitting the shawl, to realize I didn’t like how it was turning out. I decided to put the shawl aside and it ended up being a few years…
A while ago, I picked up the shawl again and decided that I really liked the cabled strip. I took the shawl apart, all except the strip. I decided that it would make an adorable blanket. And the rest is history!
This blanket is seamless. The cabled strip is knit first, followed by picking up stitches along each side of the cable strip to knit the rest. It is truly a joyful knit!
This pattern is fully written and fully charted. You get to chose which technique you follow.
