written by KnotEnufKnitting April 9, 2025

Do you like cabling the C4F and the C4B cable stitch? This blanket was designed to allow these two cable stitches to shine! Initially, I thought to design each section with the C4F and the C4B cables, however, I found that the result was too bulky. I added a stockinette stitch section between each section and I love the result! The stockinette section allows the other cable sections to stand out. Honestly, this is a fun, fun knit!

After I designed the C2F / C2B Cable Blanket, I wanted to try a blanket with the C4F and the C4B cable stitch. They are different, but the result it also stunning!

This blanket is a great pattern to practice cabling without a cable needle. I have included video tutorials to help you learn how! Once you master this technique, it speeds up your knitting considerably.

It is a ONE time purchase. If you purchase on my website, you will receive an email to download each section as it is released. If you purchase on ravelry, you will receive each section as an update to your library. If you purchase on Etsy, I will email you each section as they are released.

As with all of my patterns, I don’t design one specific size. Every pattern has multiple sizes for you to chose from. This pattern comes in 6 different sizes from a Baby Security blanket to a full Afghan.

Sizes:
Security:14” (35.5 cm) x 22” (56 cm)
Stroller:28” (71 cm) x 36” (91.5 cm)
Lap:36” (91.5 cm) x 48” (122 cm)
Receiving:40” (102 cm)x 40” (102 cm)
Toddler:43” (109 cm) x 54” (137 cm)
Afghan:48” (122 cm) x 60” (152.5 cm)

This blanket was designed with Knit Pick Swish worsted weight yarn. However, any worsted weight yarn will work if you get the right gauge.

Yardage: (yards / meters)
Security: 370 /340 (4 skeins)
Stroller: 1195 / 1085 (11 skeins)
