Song of Hope slouch hat is a classic knit. The cable band is knit first. Stitches are picked up along the band to finish the top of the hat. This cable is one that will keep your knitters brain hopping! A fun, challenging but rewarding knit! The cowl depicted is also found in my store.
This hat is knit from the bottom up. The band has a seam, but the top is completely seamless.
This hat is also available as part of Song of Hope set, with Song of Hope Cowl, at a reduced price.
The hat depicted in the picture was knit with Vanna’s Choice solids. However, any worsted weight yarn will work.
This hat comes in 4 sizes:
X-small – 17” x 9½” 43.2 cm x 24.1 cm
Small – 18” x 10 ½” 45.7 cm x 26.7 cm
Medium – 19” x 11” 48 cm x 27.9 cm
Large – 20” x 11 ½” 50.8 cm x 29.2 cm
This hat was designed with worsted weight yarn. The yarn depicted in the picture is Vanna’s Choice. However, any worsted weight yarn will work.
Amount of yardage required: 150 ( 175, 200, 250) yards
Needles: 2 x 5 mm [8 US] needles
6 mm [10 US] circular needles
4 x 6 mm [10 US] dpns
1 cable needle
Gauge: 18 stitches x 24 rows = 4″ x 4″ in stockinette stitch
