Rays of Summer Knit baby hat is designed with Cotton yarn to be worn in the spring/summer. A beautiful design that is carried all the way into the top of the hat. Any baby girl would look adorable wearing this hat!
This pattern does NOT include the flower. This flower pattern is in my shop – Splash of Colour Knit Flower.
However, this pattern includes a pattern for a simple knit flower that can be used if you wish.
The finished circumference of the hat sizes are:
NB – 11.5″
3 mths – 14″
6 mths – 15″
12 mths – 16″
2 yrs – 17″
Allow about 2″ for stretch as this hat is very stretchy!
This hat can also be made with other yarn. One testers used 50% cotton and 50% acrylic yarn. It worked out fine!
Gauge: 13 stitches by 24 rows = 4″ by 4″ in pattern stitch of hat.
Needles: 4.5 mm (7 US) circular needles (30 cm – 40 cm)
4 – 4.5 mm dpn needles to finish off hat

Stitches need to know: K, P, K2tog, K1 tbl, K2tog tbl
Designed with Bernat handicrafter cotton. Any worsted weight cotton will work.
